KIT CARSON COUNTY ADMINISTRATOR

Kit Carson County Commissioners are currently hiring for a full time position of County Administrator. This position is a paid, non-elected government official that supervises the day-to-day operations of a county government with over-sight from the County Commissioners. The Administrator briefs the Board of Commissioners on pertinent issues and then makes sure the board's decisions are enacted.
The Administrator will develop budgets, prepare detailed financial statements, supervise the annual audit preparation and manage Human Resources. They will attend government meetings and may be on call in emergency situations. Some travel may be required. Accounting experience is necessary. Human Resource experience is helpful. Applicant must be self-motivated.
Salary $19.23-$26.44/hr. DOQ. Benefits include Health, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, and 3% match for retirement. Applicants must have a current Colorado driver’s license, High school diploma or equivalent. KCC requires passing a background check and drug/alcohol testing. OPENING AT COUNTY CLERK & RECORDERS OFFICE
Kit Carson County Clerk’s office is accepting applications for a Financial/Motor Vehicle position.  Computer experience is needed.  Applicants must have a valid driving record as well as a current Colorado drivers license. All employees for the County Clerk’s office will have background checks so they can assist with elections.  Salary & Benefit Information: $13.70 per hour - $15.30 per hour based upon qualifications. Benefits include Health, Vision, Dental insurance, and 3% match for retirement.

Human Services Adult & Family Services Case Worker I/II
The Kit Carson County Department of Human Services currently has a vacancy for an Adult & Family Services Case Worker I/II. If you are a community oriented individual with a passion to serve others we want to hear from you!
As a Case Worker I/II you will serve individuals and families in a collaborative manner in order to address social and economic needs. You will also work with a broad range of community support organizations, educational institutions and local law enforcement to improve quality of life standards for the community as a whole. This work requires strong communication, a high degree of organization, a commitment to working with others and “outside the box” thinking at times. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 21 year of age or older
  • Valid Colorado Driver’s License with acceptable driving history
  • Ability to pass criminal history, employment and education verification background checks
  • An Undergraduate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field from an accredited University  is required
  • One year of relevant work experience is highly desired
  • Caseworker II classification  must meet minimum education requirements plus two years of social services case work experience; OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

The Kit Carson County Department of Public Health and Environment is seeking a full-time registered nurse.  The position comprises two areas including Women’s Health and Childhood Immunizations.  Travel within the county and immediate surrounding area is required.   Competitive salary and benefits.  BSN preferred, but experience will be considered. Salary range$28.00 to $31.00/hr. KIT CARSON COUNTY ASSESSOR

DATA COLLECTOR JOB SUMMARY:
Performs data gathering functions for assessment purposes.  Responds to taxpayer inquiries about property valuations and characteristics; performs data input and necessary reports.  General clerical functions such as data input, filing, answer telephone, and correspondence of public information.  Will be largely responsible for maintaining property ownership addresses, processing manufactured home properties, processing personal property schedules, assists with maintenance of parcel mapping data, utilizes building permits and assists with field inspections.  Requires better than average math skills. The pay range we’re offering is $13.46 - $14.42 per hour.
This position involves a mix of office and field work.  Interacts with staff from other sections and departments in order to collect and verify information used to determine property values.
Enters and retrieves information using a computer in order to update records and to research information.
Oral and written communications must be clear and effective.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.
Candidate must also pass a background check and drug screen.
Any combination of education, training and experience which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required for the job.  Colorado Appraisal License preferred, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
This position requires standing, stooping, sitting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 10 pounds.  Work is generally confined to a standard office environment.

As an economic assistance specialist you will provide client facing support to determine eligibility for a broad range of economic and social support programs. You will work collaboratively with clients, case management staff and other community partners to facilitate an individualized plan that best meets the client’s economic needs. KIT CARSON COUNTY AMBULANCE SERVICE ON CALL EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS AND SUPPORT STAFF:

Kit Carson County Ambulance Service provides services as needed to eastern Kit Carson County and transports to the Denver Metro area. These positions are on call positions and considered part time. Call hours are flexible and paid per event plus paid on-call time and annual bonus available. Other compensation includes uniforms, continuing education training, and opportunity to provide an essential and valuable service to the local community.
