Adult & Family Services Lead Caseworker/Assistant Unit Supervisor
The Kit Carson County Department of Human Services currently has a vacancy for an Adult & Family Services Lead Caseworker/Assistant Unit Supervisor. If you are a community oriented individual with a passion to serve others and a proven track record of successful leadership in the social services field, we want to hear from you! As a Lead Caseworker/Assistant Unit Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing a direct service case load with a primary assignment to either Child Welfare or Adult Protection. As a secondary assignment you will provide supervision support of casework staff when the Unit Manager is absent or needs additional support in supervising subordinate staff. This position reports directly to the Deputy Director of Human Services.
- At least 21 Years of Age
- Undergraduate Degree in Social work, Sociology, Psychology or closely related field.
- 3-5 years of casework experience providing initial and ongoing family and/or adult services support in a Department of Social Services or similar type organization.
- Must possess valid Driver’s License and be able to pass a comprehensive background verification.
- Able to attend and pass Caseworker Supervisor Academy within 6 months.
Additionally Considered Qualifications:
- Graduate Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Sociology
- Licensure as a social worker/clinical social worker highly desired
- 1-3 Years of case management experience providing on-going casework services to clients in a social service organization highly desired.
- Colorado Department of Human Services Social Caseworker Certification in Child Welfare/Adult Protection is highly desirable but not required.
- Colorado Department of Human Services Supervisor Certification in Adult Protection and Child Welfare is highly desirable but not required

KIT CARSON COUNTY DISPATCH DEPUTY
The Kit Carson County Sheriff's Office currently has a full time Dispatch Deputy opening. Applicants must be 21 years of age and a U.S. citizen or possess appropriate work visa. High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid driver license. Must be able to work all shifts, which includes days, nights and weekends. Must pass a back ground check and drug/alcohol testing.

Kit Carson County Ambulance Service provides services as needed to eastern Kit Carson County and transports to the Denver Metro area. These positions are on call positions and considered part time. Call hours are flexible and paid per event plus paid on-call time and annual bonus available.
