County Fair

THE 2025 KIT CARSON COUNTY FAIR AND RODEO IS SCHEDULED FOR July 19th through July 26th.

Hello Kit Carson County and surrounding areas! Welcome to the 108th Kit Carson County Fair and Rodeo - July 19-26, 2025! The 2025 Kit Carson County Fair and Rodeo Royalty Team (Princess - Gracie Miltenberger, Attendant - Sky Richards, and Queen - Kelsie Vaughn) hope to see you all throughout this fun filled week.  Come on down to the fairgrounds and see all the hard work and talent our 4-H, FFA, and Open Class exhibitors have put in all year long. With livestock shows Monday through Saturday, the Ranch Rodeo on Monday, and Working Dog Trials on Tuesday, we can promise that you will never be bored.  If you have the chance, go, and support the 4-H and FFA Livestock members at the Livestock Sale Wednesday evening. Do not forget the ever-popular County Events Day on Thursday; there are tons of free activities and events across the fairgrounds as well as music and entertainment in carousel park. Make sure to show up early enough on Thursday to grab a plate for the Free BBQ and watermelon feed (courtesy of the Kit Carson County Commissioners and generous local sponsors) and then grab a seat in the grandstands for the County Events Day Rodeo.  While enjoying this year’s fair, take a spin on the 120-year-old historic Kit Carson County Carousel, featuring the Wurlitzer Monster Military Band Organ! This historic landmark can be ridden 11am-8pm throughout the week. The 108th KCC Fair & Rodeo marks the second year that fair attendees and thrill seekers can also enjoy our county owned carnival, including the newest additions of our Ferris Wheel and the Round Up. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the hometown carnival rides and games. If you are looking for action packed entertainment, make sure to buy your tickets and pack the stands for the PRCA Rodeo Performances Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Wear pink Thursday for Tough Enough to Wear Pink to show your support and raise awareness for those fighting the battle with cancer; Friday’s Rodeo is red white and blue night where we honor the courageous men and women who have served and fought for our country as well as our local first responders. Following the rodeo Saturday night, be sure to stick around for the concert featuring the Josh Abbott Band!  The 2025 Royalty Team will be out and about all fair week, so make sure to stop by and say hi.
