The front offices can be accessed by coming to the glass doors on the south side of the courthouse building and going through security. Remember when going through security please remember to leave all weapons locked inside your vehicle. If you would like to speak with the Sheriff or Undersheriff please call and make an appointment first.

Colorado Open Records Act or CORA. See Colorado Revised Statutes C.R.S. 24-72-200.1 through 24-72-206. The County has up to 72 hours to respond to your request. Such period of time may be extended if extenuating circumstances exist.
Research and Retrieval Fee
Pursuant to the Colorado Open Records Act, C.R.S. § 24-72-200.1, et seq. (the "Act") The County is able to impose a research and retrieval fee of $41.37 per hour, or any portion thereof, for expansive or broadly stated requests for records as follows:
- Pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-72-205(6)(a), the first hour of research and retrieval time under the Act shall be free of charge.
- The research and retrieval fee authorized by this Statute shall be in addition to any charges imposed for the receipt of copies of any records open to inspection pursuant to the provisions of the Act; and
- The Administrative Clerk is further authorized to require a deposit based on the estimated time to do the research necessary to comply with a expansive or broadly stated request before any such search commences.
