Human Services Adult & Family Services Case Worker I/II
The Kit Carson County Department of Human Services currently has a vacancy for an Adult & Family Services Case Worker I/II. If you are a community-oriented individual with a passion to serve others we want to hear from you!
As a Case Worker I/II you will serve individuals and families in a collaborative manner in order to address social and economic needs. You will also work with a broad range of community support organizations, educational institutions, and local law enforcement to improve quality of life standards for the community as a whole. This work requires strong communication, a high degree of organization, a commitment to working with others and “outside the box” thinking at times. Salary Range $15.86-$23.08 DOQ.  Benefits include Health, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, and 3% match for retirement. 
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
At least 21 year of age or older
* Valid Colorado Driver’s License with acceptable driving history
* Ability to pass criminal history, employment and education verification background checks.
* An Undergraduate Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Human Services, or related field from an accredited University is preferred; however, educational waivers are available.  If you are currently finishing a Bachelor's degree in one of the social sciences, please submit your application!
* One year of relevant work experience is highly desired.
 Caseworker II classification must meet minimum education requirements plus two years of social services case work experience: OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

HUMAN SERVICES CASE AIDE

The Kit Carson County Department of Human Services currently has a vacancy for a Human Services Case Aide/Economic Assistance Specialist. If you are a community-oriented individual with a passion to serve others we want to hear from you!  This is a full-time position with benefits.  In this position will provide administrative and case management support to clients and the Department’s certified case management staff. You will also provide client facing support to determine eligibility for a broad range of economic and social support programs. You will work collaboratively with clients, case management staff and other community partners to facilitate an individualized plan that best meets the client’s economic needs.  You will also work with a broad range of community support organizations that assist our agency in delivering services to clients.  Lastly, this position will provide support to the front desk by way of covering breaks and the days off of the receptionist. This work requires a strong ability communicate, a high degree of organization skill, a commitment to working with others and “outside the box” thinking at times.  Full job descriptions are available upon request.

Bi-lingual Family Advocate
Kit Carson County Collaborative Management Program (CMP) is looking for a Bi-lingual Family Advocate. The Kit Carson County Collaborative Management Program works with children, youth, and families within Kit Carson County to help make them successful and connect them with needed resources. The Bi-lingual Family Advocate would work with Spanish speaking families who are referred to CMP to help assess needed resources and create connections. The Advocate will work directly and closely with the family in order to ensure they are able to access resources and help to remove any barriers.
This is a contract position through the Kit Carson County Department of Human Services. Hours will vary as services will only be needed when a Spanish speaking family is referred. Pay rate will be $25/hour.  KCCDHS is an equal opportunity employer.
 

BI-LINGUAL HEALTH LIFESTYLE COACH
Kit Carson County Department of Public Health and Environment is seeking to hire a bilingual person to become trained as a Healthy Lifestyle Coach. After training, this person is responsible for facilitating the National Diabetes Prevention Program classes within the program’s identified geographical target areas in Spanish. This position is part-time or contract base. Kit Carson County Sheriff's Office: DETENTION OFFICER

The Kit Carson County Sheriff’s Office currently has a full time Detentions Deputy opening.  Applicants must be 18 years of age and a U.S. citizen or possess appropriate work visa.  High School diploma or equivalent.  Must have a valid driver’s license.  Must be able to work all shifts, which include days, nights, and weekends.  We are always accepting applications for every department (Patrol Deputy, Dispatch, and Detention Deputy).  All applications will be kept for 6 months and if an opening becomes available those applications will be considered first.  Please go to www.kccsheriff.com  and down load a job application or stop by 251 16th Street, Suite 103 Burlington Colorado 80807 and pick up a job application in person.  The Hourly range is $18.27 - $22.59


KIT CARSON COUNTY AMBULANCE SERVICE ON CALL EMERGENCY MEDICAL TECHNICIANS AND SUPPORT STAFF:

Kit Carson County Ambulance Service provides services as needed to eastern Kit Carson County and transports to the Denver Metro area. These positions are on call positions and considered part time. Call hours are flexible and paid per event plus paid on-call time and annual bonus available. Other compensation includes uniforms, continuing education training, and opportunity to provide an essential and valuable service to the local community.
